Big win for the female-led business Circle In, lands $2 Million
Circle In, an employee support platform, has landed $2 million in funding to expand its services beyond working parents, improving the overall well-being of the modern workforce.
In a world where support for working parents is more critical than ever, Circle In has just hit a major milestone, raising $2 million in a funding round led by Alberts Impact Ventures. This employee support platform has plans to expand its offerings to cater to a broader range of employees, including remote workers and caregivers, with a particular focus on well-being.
This investment is not only a significant milestone for Circle In, but also for female-led companies in Australia, who get only 0.7 of funding.
Jodi Geddes, Co-founder at Circle In, told SmartCompany
Circle In Co-founders, Kate Pollard and Jodi Geddes, initially created the platform in 2017 to provide resources for mothers navigating their careers after becoming parents. Fast forward six years, and Circle In has evolved into an all-encompassing platform for employers to support working parents at every stage of their journey, as well as remote workers and carers.
In light of the pandemic, the need for well-being initiatives and managerial support is more crucial than ever. Circle In plans to address this by developing a new manager-led product, which will be co-designed with its customers. The goal is to create a culture of connection and care in organisations worldwide.
Our support for managers through these key moments is the number one reason customers purchase our product, as we know that how leaders and managers respond to an individual’s experience can have a critical impact on culture.
Jodi Geddes, Co-founder at Circle In, told SmartCompany
Circle In has not only secured significant funding but also gained recognition for its innovative approach. The company won the ‘Circular Pioneer’ award at the Pause Awards in 2022 and ranked number four on the Top10 list of most ambitious and effective companies. This showcases Circle In’s commitment to creating a supportive environment for the modern workforce.
Despite the challenging market, Circle In successfully raised $2 million, following a previous seed fund of $1.5 million in 2019. This latest funding round will be allocated towards the new product, additional features, and expansion into new markets.
Geddes said that over the past 5 years, Circle In has expanded globally and taken on nearly 100 leading brands, including Medibank, Coca-Cola Amatil, Estée Lauder, EY, and Ashurst as clients.
Given our expertise and success in supporting managers through difficult moments, we are working on an exciting new manager-led product that will launch later this year, and is being co-designed with our customers.
Jodi Geddes, Co-founder at Circle In, told Startup Daily
Circle In’s latest funding success, coupled with its awards and recognition, is a testament to the company’s commitment to improving support for working parents, remote workers, and caregivers.
Circle In has already made waves in the global market, boasting nearly 100 leading brands as clients. The new funding will help the company further expand its reach and develop innovative solutions to support working families and caregivers.
