Why enter

If you’re Tech-Innovator, Eco-Warrior, Empowering-Leader or belong to any other future tribe, this home for champions is built for you.

We’re on the lookout for innovative companies, ambitious founders with wild ideas to award their continued success, resilience, impact and share their stories annually.

Not everyone wins! That’s the catch. Only less than 30% make it through two rounds of rigorous peer judging, the first round is done independently and the second is a debate. Judges are: 36% C-Suite, 39% Snr. Executives and 25% Founders looking for actual, tangible results. It’s highly competitive – but it’s worth the challenge!

Here are a few reasons why you should consider:

Recognition and validation: Be acknowledged by your peers and the ecosystem.

Networking opportunities: Foster valuable partnerships and collaborations that will help your business thrive.

Personal and professional growth: Learn from the experiences of other industry leaders, enhancing your skills.

Champion company’s cause: Showcase your company’s efforts and inspire others to follow you.

Amplify your message: Increase your brand’s visibility and reach a wider audience, further promoting your purpose.

Enhance credibility: Solidify your reputation as an industry leader to attract potential investors and customers.

Advocate for quality: Raise awareness about your innovative solution.

Drive positive change: Inspire other stakeholders to adopt more effective practices.

Gain exposure and support: Secure much-needed funding, resources, and partnerships, enabling you to expand and grow.

This one’s for the team: Boost the team and company morale and attract new talent and clients.

And finally, we’ll call you a champ even if you don’t win.

“We’re celebrating winning the ‘Defiant Ones’ as it’s a wonderful acknowledgement of Pyn as a new tech breakthrough in Australia. It’s a validation we’re defining the future of the industry we play in.”

What’s the benefit

By entering the Pause Awards, you can quickly and easily gauge your yearly performance. Our senior industry experts offer affirmations of your company’s direction, recognising your accomplishments on a national level. Plus, you’ll gain exposure to our expert judges, menthors, media and potential investors.

Beyond winning, participation in the Pause Awards encourages introspection and feedback, helping companies better understand their strengths and areas for improvement. Winners and finalists enjoy industry-wide prestige, leading to increased visibility and credibility.

Pause Awards is an independent, industry-led initiative. Winners become part of an authentic, interconnected community that is supportive and helpful. It’s not just an accolade; it’s an affirmation of your hard work, innovative spirit and ambitious mindset.

How does it work

Pause Awards isn’t your average awards programme. We delve deeper, championing a more holistic approach to recognising and rewarding ambition and effectiveness.

Unlike conventional systems that simply measure revenues or rely on vanity metrics, we examine your company’s breakthrough moments. These are the pivotal points where your business truly pushed the boundaries, took the road less travelled, and came out on top. These game-changing moments offer a more accurate reflection of your company’s real accomplishments, resilience and capacity for innovation.

Pause Awards operate through a robust two-round judging process. In the first round, judges anonymously assign scores based on Smart Tactics, Business Success, and Positive Impact for each entry, with the average score forming the final result. New this year, we’ve introduced the Investable Score™, indicating a company’s appeal to potential investors and adding another dimension to the evaluation process.

It’s not just about what’s on paper but rather the significant leaps, the calculated risks and the audacious ideas that have pushed your business towards growth and transformation. By focusing on these defining moments, Pause Awards truly honours the spirit of innovation, painting a vivid and authentic picture of your company’s journey to excellence.
